People of Power

Was it really about blasphemy? Was it really about not knowing what those Arabic words meant? How many of those men knew how to read Urdu? Could we take a quick survey? That garment had a total of 2 to 3 words.
You want us to believe these so-called keepers of the Quran and sunnah can’t read words such as حلوہ. Explain to me how they confused it with an Ayah of the Quran.

Alright, okay, that happened because it did. After realizing they were incorrect, why did they insist on making the woman apologize? I understand why she had to. I know that she has to live with the same people who were chanting that they want to behead her.

However, they could have just let it go. Do not speak of it ever again. As if it never happened. Why bring it up?
I’ll tell you why. It was never about blasphemy. This isn’t about the Deen or the Quran. Allah didn’t need that apology. They did. This is always about something “other”. This is about power. This is about control. Islam doesn’t come with mobs, chants of public executions, and apologies to the masses. These done are to appease the powerful. Our Prophet (PBUH) or his companions have never needed or demanded that.

No true believer would wish death upon another human. Certainly not in the name of the most loving and merciful human (PBUH). If someone does that, they have the ego and power to reckon with. Know it and hear it clearly: Never confuse people of power with the people of God.
